Courseware Requirements
Network Connection Requirements
Courseware runs from the Internet or an intranet (modem, Ethernet, or wireless network adapter required).
- Video - Broadband (128kbps or faster)
- Audio - Dial-Up (48kbps) required, Broadband (128kbps or faster) recommended
- Text Only - Dial-Up (28.8kbps or faster)
ELT can provide course size/duration information for specific courses upon request.
End-User Computer Requirements
For specific CPU and RAM prerequisites, please see the requirements for the intended browser and Flash Player.
- Adobe Flash Player 9.0.124.0 or higher (see Flash Player requirements here)
- Video versions of the courseware require the user's computer to meet Adobe's additional requirements for playing video in Flash (found here)
- Minimum display resolution of 800 by 600 pixels
- JavaScript enabled within the browser
- Audio and Video versions of the courseware require a sound card and speakers or headphones
Operating System / Browser Requirements
The configurations below have successfully passed QA testing with the latest ELT courseware. Additional configurations may work but are not formally supported.
Windows XP – Windows 7
- Internet Explorer 6.0 – 8.0
- Firefox 3.0 – 3.5
Mac OS X 10.4 – 10.6
- Safari 3.0 – 4.0
- Firefox 3.0 – 3.5
Other configurations operating systems and browsers may work, but are not supported. Please talk with your ELT Account Executive if you have specific software support needs (such as Linux or Solaris).
ELT Learning Management System (LMS) Requirements
For learner access, all of the configurations listed under "Courseware Requirements" are supported. Additionally, learner's browsers must have session cookies and SSL enabled.
For administrative functions of the LMS, the following Operating System/Browser configurations are officially supported:
Windows XP – Windows 7
- Internet Explorer 6.0 – 8.0
- Session cookies and SSL enabled
Browser and Operating System support will change over time.
